It’s so easy to fall into survival mode these days. We are uncertain about the future. We are feeling the threat of disease and possible death. At the same time, we are deluged with conflicting information.
We may feel overwhelmed. Also, claustrophobic, lonely, fearful, angry, frustrated and concerned about our finances and thus our security. We most likely feel some loss in our life – death of a loved one, job gone or changed in circumstances, and even loss of freedom to go out and about.
It helps to recognize the emotions running through our system. Confronting what is going on, both around us and within us, is the first step to being able to process life and find our center. It is almost impossible to deal with it all unless we calm down our stress response and get coherent.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) can help with that. It is a proven method for calming the stress response, and it can be learned quickly and used by oneself or with a coach.
