Consider This: You are the calm center that organizes the chaos into coherence. Where are you putting your attention?
Change of seasons: how are you changing personally?
It’s been an odd couple of years, with people hunkering down and possibly engaging less often with others. (I am guilty of this as well) Now is a good time to start reaching out again.
The weather is unpredictable, but getting brisker. There’s that feeling of going back to school in the air. At any age, there’s an urge to learn something new or to create something out of nothing. The sight of a clean, new notebook is always inspiring. A blank canvas. A hint of music running through your mind. Whatever your favorite medium is, I urge you to make something. It’s good for the soul.
As always, clarifying what is going on, both around us and within us, is the first step to being able to process life and find our center. One needs to calm down the stress response and get coherent. But then it is time for action. The smallest move toward creating your life the way you would like it to be can have a marvelous impact.
Imagine being that calm centered individual who is able to deal with whatever comes and express oneself with confidence and a peaceful heart. It’s possible.
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive.”
–Howard Thurman (MLK’s mentor)
